My Vision

I specialize in writing high-quality, attention-getting personal marketing documents. A resume alone can’t win you the job, but a poorly written resume can certainly eliminate you from consideration.

Jeff Metzger is the owner of Your Resume Consultant.He is a veteran of nearly 25 years in corporate settings, more than half of which as a hiring manager. Jeff has seen thousands of resumes and cover letters and has been involved in hundreds of hiring decisions.

As a career services professional, Jeff’s goal is to help job seekers realize and document their greatness and all they have to offer an employer. In additional to writing, Jeff is the Instructor of the Going Places Network job acceleration program at Dress for Success Hartford and conducts workshops on career-related topics for local organizations and libraries.

Jeff is a native of Brooklyn, NY and has lived in Connecticut for the last 22 years, where he has raised two amazing sons, ages 18 and 14, who inspire him daily.
